I started advertising my store online

Yesterday marked the 3rd year I’ve officially had my heating and cooling business opened.

  • I live in a small town where pretty much everyone knows each other, and word of mouth gets spread very easily, so I never had to use very many ads to make my HVAC company well known.

However, I couldn’t help but to wonder how much more business I would get if I took my business online. Right now, I don’t have a website, and I rely on most people to recommend my services if they like my business, which works well for a small town. I knew that close to our small town, there was a bigger city, and I couldn’t help but to wonder if I would get a ton more interest if I started advertising online and getting some of the people in that city interested in my HVAC services. Anyways, I finally decided since it’s been 3 years, it was time for me to go online. While I could have used an online marketing business, I decided to try to learn on my own first. While using a marketing company is probably pretty helpful, I think if I did enough research I would probably be fine on my own. So I did, I first made my own website, and then I started reading into how I could attract people to my website. Apparently there were quite a few different ways. One of the main and most popular methods was SEO. Search Engine Optimization was a way to make your website more visible to any interested people, and the nice part was that it didn’t even sound very hard. Then there was PPC, pay per click, but I haven’t made it that far yet.
